Assign location visually (georeferencer) over Google Maps instead of Mapbox
Google maps has better precision and zoom level than Mapbox.
1 voteHello Victor,
MapTiler 8.0 has improved visual georeferencing tool, and you can select another base map, or you can add a custom map service as well.
You can see our How-To article about visual georeferencing tool on http://www.maptiler.com/how-to/georeferencer-complete-functionality-list/ -

Raster tiles do not work in conjunction with mapbox 2 meaning I can't use map tiler for my project.

Desktop: Add support for touch pad gestures
The visual would be way better usable with touchpad/trackpad if pinch and swipe gestures were supported to navigate the map(s).

Estimate temp space required
I would like the software to give an estimate of the amount of temporary space required to cache the tile set given the input files. This could even be a separate option on the command line to dry run the command so you know in advance to make more space if required before beginning the processing of images.

Remember which directory/folder program is currently working in
For example when loading an ozf2 file to then open the applicable .map file it's necessary to search to the directory/folder again. It should open in the directory/folder where the ozf2 file was loaded from. Likewise when rendering why not go back to the last folder where rendered to. Once again I have been rendering a lot of ozf2 files and I want to group them together by region/area but for every render I click through to the directory/folder I'm currently working in. It would be so much easier to just have to go up one directory/folder from where I…

Latitude and Longitude shown
The latitude and longitude shown is in decimal degrees. It would nice to have the option of degrees and decimal minutes, or degrees minutes and seconds.
Too, it would be nice to have the option of the latitude and longitude of the GPS position icon, rather than the centre of map shown on the screen.
1 voteMapTiler 8.0 contains updated visual georeferencing tool which enables switching the format of Longitued and Latitude coordinates in WGS84 coordinate system.

centre map on GPS position icon
When opening the maptiler app, it may well not be the case that the user is actually within the boundaries of the map shown on the iphone. It would be a nice idea if there was a 'homing' button, where the map could be centred on the user's GPS position icon

Custom base maps for visual georeferencing
It would be great to be able to add custom basemaps to Georeferencer - such as custom WMS / WMTS / TileJSON or {z}/{x}/{y}.png patterns.
1 voteMapTiler 8.0 can add a custom map service via TileJSON, WMS or ssimple z/x/y URL pattern.

Desktop: Fix the position of the "Go Back" button to be the same
The 'go back' button moves to different positions when you click it. Have it stay in one spot at all times.

Base layers for viewing mbtiles
It could be great to have possibility of turn on base layers (eg. OpenStreetMap etc.) when Maptiler shows mbtiles files.

Add the ability to determine coordinates from hotspots in a published image
It would be great if you could add hotspot support for the image tiles you publish and offer the ability to retrieve coordinates of a specific hotspot/marker/symbol on the map.
Let me know if you have more questions about my idea. Thanks in advance.4 votesHi,

NGA GeoPDF format with insets, overlays and blow-ups currently not supported
Have the ability to use the US National Geospatial Information Agency's Geospatial PDF format. Currently this is not supported because the GeoPDF is made up of several georeferenced insets, blow-ups or overlays. It would be nice to be able to select what to process in that file.

use an existing mbtiles file as input - useful if combining files
I've been unsuccessful at using an mbtiles files as an input to make new tiles. Even after creating a VRT file and using the VRT. This is useful in many situations especially now that you can control the zoom levels of individual files. I can have one file that has zoom levels that another does not and combine them or make a scale dependent/ at different zoom levels show different content so it's more readable and better user experience.

Create Image Overlays with ESRI Javascript sample pages
You have examples with Image overlays and many javascript code samples, except ESRI Javascript maps code samples. It would be nice to be able to have ESRI Maps Javascript code samples. Can you please add that to your tool?
Also, if you could add interactive svg overlays to your tool with ESRI Javascript code samples, your tool would be completely awesome. I need these features to justify buying your product. Please let me know if you can add these features?
Thanks in advance
1 voteESRI ArcGIS API for JavaScript example is available in the index.html generated by MapTiler.

Add Interactive SVG overlays, in addition to image overlays on the map
It would be nice to add Interactive SVG overlays, in addition to image overlays on the map. For example, if there is interactive image/svg content, it would be great to overlay interactive svg file, instead of the image overlay file. Please consider making this a new feature of your product. Thanks in advance.

OGC GeoPackage export
There is a standardized SQLite container for tiles defined by OGC. This would create an official alternative to MBTiles - even for tiles in custom projection system. It would be great to have support for this format in MapTiler and TileServer.
